Mathematics

Our team provides a progressive Math curriculum. We believe that repetition is the key to mastery and we provide homework of the topics learned in class for the student to complete before the next class. Our Math curriculum ranges all the way from Multiplication and Division to Calculus and Statistics. Read more about the curriculum below.

At Ascent tutors, we offer a wide variety of topics that we can cover up to the user’s choice. We have our default pace where we make sure to challenge our students with new topics more often than schools, or we can follow a self-pace that the students choose.

Our one on one self-paced math classes will consist of 10-15 minutes of recap where we will review what we learned last class with a practice problem, after which we will spend the next 15-25 minutes teaching new content. We use interactive software where both the teacher and the student can edit and write on the same sheet as needed for practice problems and the comprehension of the material taught.

We spend the last 25-30 minutes of class guiding students through practice problems, where the student can ask questions as necessary while having enough time for school homework help if they so require.
