Our team focuses on strengthening the building blocks of coding. Whether it be block-based coding like Scratch or Mindstorms, or text based coding like Python, Java, or C, we strive to ensure that your foundation of these languages are solidified. Read more about our extensive curriculum below.

At Ascent tutors, our tutors have 2-6 years of experience in coding languages like Python, Java, and C, and have a solid understanding of elementary block-based coding. Based on the student’s preferences, we give them a choice on what language they want to learn and practice and we can help build their understanding on topics veered in those languages.

We also offer a coding bootcamp over summer where we allow the student to have a set list of goals at the beginning and we try to achieve them by the end of the camp using interactive lessons and take-home activities that students can work on at their own place even out of class.

Students also have the choice of consulting our tutors for advice on coding projects, homework, or any software logic based activity they might be stuck on. In our no-judgment zone, we do our best to ensure students have complete understanding of each aspect of our lessons while allowing the student to work at their own pace.
